Canadian Industries

An abundance of wildlife, metals, forests, and oil make Canada a country rich in natural resource industries. But did you know that Canada is among the world leaders in the aerospace industry? Give your students an understaning of the diversity of Canada’s sources of wealth – both traditional and modern. This resource is divided into 14 lessons that will both provide an appreciation for Canada, as well as encourage throughts on carrer directions. A teacher’s guide with further activity suggestions, as well as a unit test is included. Help students understand the beginnings of industry in Canada, as well as the magnitude of changes that have occurred to industry since Canada was first settled. Students will develop an understanding of the different industries and how they fit into our economy in the 21st century.
