Art Core 2: Painting with Watercolor Pencils

Thirty-six painting lessons give students their first in-depth look at color theory in a simply written text and video lessons.

Your child can work independently as they learn watercolor painting techniques using pencils from the nine video lessons, and then apply those ideas to their own unique work of art. The other twenty-seven lessons are text lessons that broaden the scope of learning as students: 

• Explore color mixing and color combinations while expressing their knowledge through color swatches and works of art.
• See examples of color concepts used by Master Artists while learning about the artist and major events in American art history.
• Incorporate new techniques and Special effects into their own painting as they explore the color wheel and the use of neutral colors, color tints, color values, white space, and more.
