It contains 37 durable (card stock) game boards, bound into a convenient book, arranged according to levels of difficulty. There are games to teach alphabet recognition, colour and number words, sight vocabulary, phonics, contractions, abbreviations, prefixes and suffixes, antonyms, synonyms, homonyms, and parts of speech. Also included are 500 flash cards which double as Bingo cards (for alphabet and vocabulary), 18 Roll-A-Word phonics cubes which aid in spelling, sound blending, reading syllables, and vocabulary development (simple cut and tape assembly required), and Spelling Squares to help break down and build hundreds of multi-syllable words using prefixes, roots and suffixes. The 46 page Parent’s Manual has easy-to-read directions, tips, 150 game variations, and word lists for FUN & flexibility. F.L.A.G.S. is an effective supplement for any language arts program, and contains all the practical teaching games needed to teach pre-K through 4th grade (and higher).
