The Prairie Primer

This is a literature based unit study utilizing the “Little House” series. It was developed for students in Gr. 3-6 but has been used with both older and younger students. It is varied and incorporates many topics including 1800’s American history, pioneer crafts, science, health, nutrition, literature, daily writing, geography, Bible, character building and more. While it may seem a little heavy in American history, Little House fans will really enjoy this one and you can always choose to do what you want of the history activities/exercises.
