MISSION ABC Kit  launches students into discovering the French Language.  There are four, 40 page student workbooks.  These could be used to introduce French once a week from junior kindergarten to grade 2.  Alternatively, teachers could cover two  booklets a year for grades 1 and 2.  

MISSION ABC Kit has one Teacher’s Manual for all four levels which includes lesson plans and reproducible games.   A code is provided to download all the MP3 audio files.  No Audio CD.

The Teacher’s Manual offers activities, games, songs and integrated review lessons so that the students are building up their vocabulary each class.  The students love their little workbooks where they do colouring, matching and read simple French stories.  They can bring these home to their parents and show them all the French words they are learning.  Every 10 lessons there is a small oral test in the student workbook to keep track of the students' progress.  There are 20 lessons per student workbook.

This interesting French program dovetails nicely with school board guidelines in Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia. Everything you need is included in each kit. The teacher's material is detailed and will allow you to teach French even if you have limited French experience. The teacher's materials also include extra worksheets, flashcards and games. One interesting aspect of the program is the inclusion of information on French culture as well as the language study.
