EIW's English Bundle Level 8

This Bundle includes:

EIW™ Writing Level 8 is a homeschool writing curriculum featuring a step-by-step approach allowing students to focus on small, daily assignments, so they don’t feel overwhelmed. Homeschool students will learn to apply parts of speech and different sentence structures as well as use them as tools for effective communication. They will address common problems in writing, including sentence errors, pronouns and antecedents, subject/verb agreement, homophones, unclear subjects, paraphrasing, and summarizing. They will practice crafting compositions including paragraphs, a narrative, a business letter, essays, and a research project. Students will explore expository, descriptive, persuasive, compare, and contrast writing.

EIW™ Literature Level 8 is broken down into four units with each unit focusing on a different type of literature. Fiction (short stories), Nonfiction (short literary works), Novel Study ("Night"- included in bundle), and Figurative Language/Poetry.

Each course includes:

  • one 12 month access to ONLINE lesson-by-lesson video subscription **
  • one teacher handbook
  • one workbook
  • access to digital workbook and digital teacher handbook
  • free online renewals.

** After your purchase, a separate email will be sent with login information.  Subscription begins at time of purchase.

NOTE: Essentials in Writing has rebranded their products resulting in the cover images for all levels of writing and literature changing. The inside content of each student book is exactly the same, just a new front/back cover.

Optional item also available for purchase is the Essentials in Writing Level 8 Assessment/Resource Book. It will provide you with quizzes and comprehensive unit tests.

Parents' Note: "Night" is a narrative nonfiction piece in which the author recounts his horrifying experiences as a Jewish boy under Nazi control. Some may find his experiences graphic and/or disturbing. All “questionable” excerpts are listed in the teacher handbook so that parents/teachers may preview questionable material before students read. A list of ways to handle these types of excerpts in literature as a whole is provided as well.
