Two Towers, The (Lord of the Rings) - CD Study Guide

The Study Guide

We have sold Bible based literature study guides from Progeny Press for a number of years and have been very pleased with them. Progeny Press Study Guides are used in conjunction with age appropriate novels to explore literature from a sound Biblical perspective. These study guides deal with literature as works of art and philosophy, explain and use literary terms, and deal with plot construction. They dig into why the characters act, believe, and feel as they do and examine what the Bible says in similar circumstances. Easy-to-use lessons include vocabulary exercises, comprehension and analysis, critical thinking, questions on related Biblical principles, activities, plus a complete answer key.

The Novel Summary:

This second book in the Lord of the Rings trilogy picks up following the breaking of the Fellowship, which was commissioned to carry the One Ring to Mordor and destroy it. Aragorn, the heir to the kingdom of Men, Gimli the dwarf, and Legolas the elf begin a race against all odds to rescue the hobbits Merry and Pippin, who have been abducted by Orcs. During their search, they encounter the Riders of Rohan, mounted warriors who warn them that the forces of the Dark Lord, Sauron, and Saruman, the wizard who betrayed Gandalf and the rest of his order- threaten King Theoden of Rohan, and the freedom of his people. War, treachery, unexpected allies, and the joyous return of an old friend keep your heart pumping throughout this continuation of Tolkien's epic myth.
